ANSI console causing VRAM contention

Post by tschak909 »

I've managed to verify on real Coleco Adam hardware that using the ANSI console is causing VRAM contention in the pattern tables.

The attached picture is from a 64 column console, but this happens on consoles of all widths.

Thanks for the report Thom.

I'll endeavour to slow the code down a bit - it's funny how much time we spend trying to make things just that little bit faster, but with a VDP we have to make it just a little bit slower!

I'm pretty certain I know where it is, but hopefully emulicious will tell me how much to slow things down by!

I've put in some delays, not exactly finely tuned, but emulicious no longer complains.
