[Z88dk-users] Success!

Post by Lee Tonks »

All,

Just to let you know I have finally managed to build a new version of z88dk using the latest source that Dominic provided for me - thanks to everyone who helped.

Sadly it's not an easy process! The executables will 'mostly' build with DJGPP, but need a couple of changes. The libraries won't build using DJGPP's version of make, I don't know why. The libraries will build with Cygwin's version of make, but won't build if you're using the z88dk executables that you previously made with DJGPP - you have to use the older Borland-built ones or you get a stupid "can't duplicate handle" error. God-knows why that is!

Anyway, I'm up and running. Hopefully one day I can figure out an easier way of building everything that doesn't involve jumping through hoops. :-)

Cheers,

Lee.
