Accessing https://z88dk.org

Is it correct that the page at https://z88dk.org does a redirect to https://z88dk.org/forum/ ?

If all the old documentation has now been superceded by the Github wiki, wouldn't it be better for the main domain page to redirect there as opposed to the forum? The project doesn't appear to have a "front door" any more.

At the moment yes, I've got a "front door" static site in my home directory that I need to finish.

It's a question of available time and the fact that I find html/css much less fun than other bits of z88dk

Fair enough. :)

I thought I'd mention it because when I heard a new z88dk release had been made, and wanted to go and get it, without knowing the URL of the Github project I couldn't find a way to get to it.

It's not what I was working on, but there's now some words and links.

It's perfect, everything it needs to be. :)

I like it very much. Especially the progressive description of the benefits, culminating with a simple (and simplified) explanation of the advantages of having z88dk wrapping sdcc.

I like it. It would even be better if words like "reposotory", "afterall" or "focussed" (not sure about the last one) is updated.

(Note: English is not my first language.)

Yeah, you're quite right, I just go a little bit letter blind at times, I'm sure there are other typos that will cause me to shake my head in shame.

Focus(s)ed is an interesting one, it looks like either are valid which is why both look wrong!

I wonder if the main page (or a sub page) needs a bit more images.

z88dk is the compiler behind hundreds of games (mostly churrera games). i think you're selling yourself short by not including some images.

do you need some example pictures of my games or demos, perhaps?

Hello,
I want to comment that opening up the search bar for people who are not logged in will visitors give a reason to come back and stay and maybe even register. For 'newbies' like me thats much more easy to realy snuf around and learn from what you find.
I understand thats part of the protection against lurchers but forum users still can copy after loggin in with any name, so its only half a blokade.
i do not know if a robot could misuse your search engine but then there must be more possible then a 'no-robot.txt' tag

PS
at WOS i asked for a C corner.
here you could open a 'sandbox area' where you can dump any 'nono' question and attempted codings.
Or maybe a 'compare corner' to test the suite on ALL available engine's ??

there a 56 type's test,
to test
there a 56 type's test,
to test
if i test one other more
we have anthore core
and there are
57 type's to test
to test

etc

That would be very kind - thank you. I think the only screenshots I've got are quite old and mostly ZX only. Given that your productions are cross platform that would demonstrate the point perfectly!

I don't have any screenshots ready, and I'll need to find my games; they are all over the place...
This can take a bit of time. :p

Ok, I've managed to gather some screenshots of things I've released (or not released).

The nirvana screen doesn't look like it was done by me, but somehow I was credited of porting this to C (I forgot). At least nirvanadem.c says so.

Anyway, see attachment. Most of the images are double sized but you can probably resize them yourself, if needed.

If you need more screenshots, I've recently made 2 new z88dk games for the MSX:
